PTSD and Elephants - Gay Bradshaw PhD (20min. vid presentation) Gay A. Bradshaw is an American psychologist and ecologist. She is director of The Kerulos Center. Her work focuses on animal trauma recovery and wildlife self-determination. Bradshaw’s studies were the first to identify Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) in non-human animals beginning with free living elephants. She is the author of a seminal series of articles on great ape psychology, trauma, civil rights, and consciousness. This work was expanded to parrots, bears, and domestic animals and led to her founding the field of trans-species psychology, the articulation of a vertebrate common model of brain, mind, and behavior that is supported by existing science.

"Whenever we hear stories about orphanages there is a good chance it is going to pull at your heart strings. The video below is no exception, even though the elephants in this video have gone on to live happy lives.
The orphans all come from East Africa and were abandoned when they were less than 2 years of age. With the price of ivory increasing, more and more elephants are being killed and their orphaned babies are being left alone and in need of care.
The orphanage is in Kenya and has been around for over 30 years. The elephant sanctuary is huge and it has to be, in order to accommodate these majestic animals. Each elephant has their own private room/dormitory. There is also a group bathing area, dining area, and a fun playground.
There are usually 14 orphans at the sanctuary at one time, and they usually spend a few years there until they are reintroduced to the bush. CEO and head nurse Daphne Sheldrick founded the orphanage and has been working with these animals for over 50 years. What Daphne and the crew do for these elephants is truly incredible." via SunDazing.com

The African Big Game Award , for the successful collection under fair conditions of the African Elephant , Buffalo , Lion and Leopard.
The Outstanding Hunters Achievement Award, for outstanding fears in the hunting world, such as hunting all of the North American Big Game animals, of all of the 9 spiral homes Antelope of Africa all of the huntable Ibex of the world , or all of the wild Oxen of the word , or the Super Slam Sheep, or a new world record animal.
These awards are always presented at a black tie dinners at the clubs annual conventions. "
